Facade-Drama, Drama and even more Drama

By allyboo642 - Posted on 30 November 2008

I played Facade four times and the results I got were very different. For my first try, I played a female character named Rachel. I didn't really know what to do when Trip asked me to come inside. I didn't read the directions. I tried to tell him, I couldn't move, he got very mad and kicked me out (even though I was already outside). He didn't listen to what I had to say. The second time I played, I remained as Rachel, except I knew to use the arrow keys in order to move. Trip and Grace were arguing, but they tried to hide it from me. Grace was complaining about the apartment room design while Trip was trying to show me a picture of Italy. They still kept arguing little by little. Then they started to ask me questions, like "Should marriage be about so and so?" So, I talked to them in a philisophical manner. I told them if they loved each other, they should talk it out. What do they do? They look at me without saying a word. I told them to speak, but they wouldn't and it was starting to annoy me. Just when I thought I was interacting, they had to stop, so I tried to leave (but I couldn't). The third try was the most interesting result of all. I was an old friend of Trip named Adam who apparently "introduced" them in college. Instead of being philisophical with them, I thought it was time to push their buttons, and I did. I was asking question that had to be answered because I couldn't stand their fighting! Finally, Trip made a confession that he had an affair with his secretary in Barcelona "Gloria". Then, Trip said it was over and left, leaving a hysterical Grace. I tried to hug her but then the game ended.
Throughout the game, I noticed that Trip and Grace's fighting style were different. Some tries, they were openly fighting, while others, they were trying to hide it. I also noticed that I apparently made things awkward. Whenever I would say something, Trip would say "Aww Adam, trying to push our buttons..." or "Adam, always the joker..." They weren't really good communicators, and I always got ignored. All they did was talk about each other in a negative way. Trip was in self denial and a jerk, and Grace was somewhat cynical and obnoxious. The music made things even more dramatic and I really couldn't take it after the forth try, so I left while they were fighting. They didn't notice me until I was out the door and at the elevator.
