Two Horrible People

In façade tension is created using the awkward conversation, overreaction, and most of all the music. The music uses drawn out and dissonant chords to create a feeling of insecurity. Strangely, I found the music to be similar to another video game I had played a long time ago. The game was a mystery type scenario, staged in a haunted mansion. The music itself made it weird to play the game alone.

To be honest the music this time around was equally intense. That type of awkward situation makes just about anyone feel uncomfortable. Especially when the avatar portraying oneself is called responsible for allowing any of the current feelings to arise.

After a certain point the game begins to seem more entertaining. When a certain approach involving more fun and name calling is used, the reactions of the troubled couple become much more childish. There is also no true ending to façade, one can play several times and likewise there is no true "winning" scenario.

The intense music, where there is never really a resolving chord, could almost seem foreshadowing to there never being an actual "win" or "end" to façade.
