Superbad

The internet is a strange place. You can find pretty much anything you'd ever need on the web, even go grocery shopping! With its creation, globalization started on an exponential level: two groups of people from different sides of the world who knew very little about one another could suddenly communicate with ease, assuming they knew the same language. People with the same interests could make a website and congregate there.

However, also with the advent of mass internet usage, people began to find an easier venue for their skills, such as art or movies. One such case is the website www.superbad.com , a bizarre mishmash of art and web design that gets you lost in a wormhole of bizarre visuals and some kinda pseudo-narrative in between. It seems to be about a small family in the mid-west or the country somewhere with an eclectic family. There's about 10 short stories in there about the family, and a few context clues that show that some pictures are of the family members. There are also several weird and (maybe?) criticisms of communism and the meat industry thrown in there.

In any case, it all kinda shows how web design can make a really weird, but fitting narrative. I swear, the first time I came across the site I was wandering around it with my friend for like 2 and 1/2 hours.
