Tons and Tons of Mash-ups.
Posted October 27th, 2008 by SnowmanIf one goes to youtube and searches any particular mash-up they will get an extensive series of other mash-ups by many people. Some are made better than others, but each has a certain element that the original doesn't. Who thought Kanye West and Beethoven would make up a song together? It is something similar to a remix. It takes the original narrative and tells it in a completely new way.

The Sound of Music
Posted October 16th, 2008 by SnowmanSound plays a big role in movies; whether it is diegetic or just background noise, sound is an important element in the way we see movies. Diegetic sound can heighten the suspense of a particular scene in a movie. Still, Non-diegetic sound adds a layer to the movie, which could have been completely lost. In the movie "No Country For Old Men" there is only in story sound. There are points in the movie where sound could increase the suspense and add an extra layer of material contributing to the overall magnificence of movie making.

The Muses Triangle
Posted September 26th, 2008 by SnowmanIn Ancient Greece the nine Greek Muses were the gods from which inspiration flowed into artists. Hence if an artist was asked why he painted a certain piece, or carved a certain sculpture he would respond, "It is because of the muses that I perform!" Now artists, whether they know it or not, write based off the muses triangle. The triangle is much more complex than the nutrition triangle so I will not tell you the details. It is essentially the motivation an artist has, based primarily on his experiences in life, to create art.

Life Passing By
Posted September 1st, 2008 by SnowmanObviously the game "Passage" is about life. It is the experiences we have in life, and the idea that we can control how our life is 'played' out. We go through life, not knowing the future, and forgetting the past, but there are times when we can go back to our past and re-experience it. That is where the blur comes into effect. It tells us we are not always aware of what our life is about to become. We can customize the characters to fit our figure, which is another way of saying we can control our lives.
