welcome to the jungle

Even with all of the grammatical frustrations, I really feel that this was a successful project. It took a while for me to get used to the language that the Inform program demanded for a working system, but I learned to appreciate that little golden stopwatch when it flashed onto my screen. Of course, it took a lot of the images of the broken pieces to get to that success point. Rulebooks were particularly frustrating to create, and I really just gave up on creating the more complicated ones that I had seen as I was perusing the Inform catalogues and indexes.
If I were to re-do this project I would include more puzzles for the player to interact with. They don't have to be particularly challenging, but it would just another obstacle for them to overcome. Also, I would look into creating a more interactive dog, but for some reason the codes I was trying to use wouldn't work very well. I was also considering adding the little boy at the end as well, but I thought his every disappearance would fit into the story-line better since, well... you'll just have to play to find out. Overall this was a challenging project that required a lot of time, but I feel that it was well worth it in the end.
